Madrid is surely the place, together with Andalucia, where the feeling and the traditions related to bulls is most vivid thanks also to the magnificent and biggest "plaza de toros" in Spain and in the world called Las Ventas. Get carried away by the atmosphere of 25.000 people who take part to this incredible performance.
Corrida de Toros is bullfighting the Spanish tradition that is thought to derive from Roman influences more than several 100 years ago. Some love it, some hate it, but it’s a tradition that is still going on and strong all over Spain. So, you can go there, look it and explain your opinion !

I hate the practice of this activity because I think that we don't need kill an animal to be fun, so I prefer other activities or sports like basketball or football that are also very important in Madrid.

I agree with you Lluís, I hate this activity and I'm very happy that here in Barcelona it be ilegal. The death of animals shouldn't be an amusement and less a national symbol but it is. "Los toros" have influenced the culture of our country and are a big tradition.

But, On the other hand, I think that it's not necessary to kill the animal. It's a living being too!

I think that, this tradition is bad because you shouln't kill bulls for funny. What will happen if someone kills us only for a tradition or laugh? In my opinion bulls are live too, so we shouldn't do this activity. Also we could change a bit this: we can do this, but restricted it a bit: we only dodge the bulls and after we can do an estrategic movement for move them to the "puerta de los toriles" (the place where the bulls are kept) and if we use this, we don't kill them.

This tradition I do not like. I can not find any fun in killing a poor animal. But hey, everyone likes different cultures and we should respect them.

I think "las corridas de toros y el toreo" is important to Spain because is a big simbol, el toreo is a art to other people and a murder to other people, but is a job. If you don´t like the bullfights and this things become a vegetarian because the chikens and cows are murded with any reason. I said that respeting other opinions but I´m not real interesed in bullfights but I think this. :)

You are right that it is a symbol but if they want to kill animals, they can kill themselves because this that they do is cause suffering the animal that has no reason to die. although it is a symbol and a tradition, the world evolves and kill animals could also evolve and think a bit about what we do.

Eliminaryou are right Anna but I think the toreros use the old bulls and sick bulls and the other young bulls have a better use and is a way to unmake of they and the farmers win money.
